On December 8, Ambassador Zhao Weiping attended the Swakop Uranium’s Tenth Year Anniversary Celebrations together with His Excellency Dr. Sam Nujoma, Founding President of Namibia, His Honourable Mr. Naville Andre, Governor of the Erongo Region, Mr. Penda Ithindi, Executive Director of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Mr. An Junjing, Chairman of the Swakop Uranium Board.

In his remarks, Ambassador Zhao Weiping congratulated the Swakop Uranium on its remarkable achievements in the past ten years and thank the Founding President and the Namibia government for their consistent support to the China-Namibia practical cooperation in various fields. As Ambassador Zhao mentioned, throughout those ten years, Swakop Uranium has actively embraced the local Namibian community, fulfilling its social responsibilities, providing numerous market opportunities and avenues for growth for Namibian businesses, which contributes significantly to Namibia's sustainable development and earns praise and recognition from various sectors.
