Namibian Prime Minister Nahas Angula met Thursday with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on bilateral friendly relations.

During their talks, Angula said that Namibia attaches great importance to its ties with China and is committed to promoting practical cooperation with China in various areas such as economy and trade and agriculture.

Namibia expects more Chinese enterprises to participate in the country's social and economic construction and help Namibia achieve sustainable development, he said.

Yang, for his part, said that to deepen China-Namibia friendly cooperation is the common aspiration of both governments and both peoples, and is in the interest of both countries.

China is willing to work with Namibia to further advance political dialogue and friendly contacts, expand practical cooperation and take advantage of their respective strengths in a bid to improve people's livelihood, he said.
